Faingamalie Pasifika and Māori Student Bursary

The Faingamalie Pasifika and Māori Student Bursary is to support Pasifika and Māori students enrolled in Honours or Higher Degree by Research (HDR) programs at UniSC.

The Australian Centre for Pacific Islands Research (ACPIR) is a multidisciplinary research centre that provides a focal point for the expertise and experience of researchers connected through their capacity to make a significant contribution to knowledge and impact in the areas of primary production, community health and the environment in the Pacific Islands region.

Eligibility

 Pasifika and Māori* students enrolled in any 1-year End-on Honours or HDR program at UniSC 

• Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Permanent Australian Humanitarian Visa holder or permanent resident of Australia; 

*Applications will be accepted from Pacific Islander persons who are from, or whose heritage is from; Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, Aotearoa NZ, Niue, Cook Islands, Tokelau, Tahiti, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Rotuma, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Nauru, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Kanaky New  Caledonia, Kanaka Maoli Hawaii, or West Papua, and can provide compelling evidence of their South Pacific Islander status.

 other equity considerations as determined by UniSC 

 supporting statement outlining research, research, career and personal goals, and how the bursary assist with UniSC studies.
