Habit formation in young adults study

Help us research how habits are formed in early adulthood

Participate in research exploring how to help young adults develop healthy, productive habits.

We're investigating the cognitive processes of how people form, then change, a new habit, and how motivation plays a role in supporting healthy habit formation.

You could be eligible to participate if you:
  • Are aged between 18-30 years
  • Are English-speaking
  • Are right-handed
  • Have normal or corrected-to-normal vision
  • Have no neurological or severe psychiatric conditions
  • Can attend an in-person session at the Thompson Institute in Birtinya (Sunshine Coast)
Participation is voluntary and involves a:
  • 15-minute online questionnaire
  • 60-minute in-person session to complete some pen-and-paper and computerised tasks
