Eve Jorgensen Health Placement Scholarship

This bursary is currently closed.  Scholarships for Study Period 2 2026 will open on 1 April 2026.

This scholarship supports health students undertaking compulsory clinical placements in their final year of study at UniSC. 

Eve Jorgensen Health Placement Scholarships are intended to provide support to students with the travel, accommodation and living expenses incurred during their placement, and/or to supplement lost income during the unpaid placement period.

Each scholarship will be valued at $5,000 and there will be 30 available across the following programs in Study Period 2, 2026:

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Biomedical Science
  • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (Pathology)
  • Bachelor of Dietetics

Student recipients will receive the scholarship funds as one lump sum payment of $5,000 as close as practicable to the student commencing their approved clinical placement.

 

Please note: This scholarship is offered on a yearly basis through funds provided by an external donor. If funding is not available in any given year, the scholarship will not be awarded.

Eligibility
  • full-time or part-time undergraduate student enrolled in a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours); Bachelor of Biomedical Science; Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (Pathology); or Bachelor of Dietetics
  • successful completion of at least 192 units (3rd year student)
  • minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) 5.0
  • undertaking an approved compulsory work placement
  • Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent Australian Humanitarian Visa holder or permanent resident of Australia

  • academic merit
  • preference may be given to students undertaking placement a significant distance from
    their home address.
