This information is for Domestic applicants. If you are an International applicant, visit international students.

Who should apply through QTAC?

Applications for most undergraduate degrees go through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC). This includes:

  • current Year 12 students (including those completing UniSC Headstart courses or intending to undertake the Tertiary Preparation Pathway (TPP) as a pathway to undergraduate study)
  • mature-age applicants.

Applications for the Master of Teaching (Primary) or Master of Teaching (Secondary) are also submitted through QTAC.

Apply online

Complete your application through the QTAC website (click the 'Apply Now' button).

Applications are currently open for:

  • Session 8 2026
  • Trimester 1 2027
  • Trimester 2 2027

Application dates

To see all application dates, check QTAC's key dates. Some programs have fixed closing dates.

Ordering your preferences

Take time to plan your preferences before you apply.

You can choose up to six program preferences as part of your QTAC application.

As a guide, we recommend ordering your preferences as follows:

  • 1 and 2: Desired programs – what you most want to study;
  • 3 and 4: Back-up programs – alternative programs that align with your interests or second choice career goals;
  • 5 and 6: Pathway programs – programs to upgrade to the program you really want. TPP is an excellent option to consider.

You can only receive one offer per QTAC offer round - your highest eligible preference.

Before submitting your application, check the admission requirements for each program to make sure you are eligible. Eligibility is determined by your ATAR or selection rank and whether you meet any program specific requirements including subject prerequisites. Visit Uni Pathways and Bridging programs to learn more about pathways to study.

For more information about how to manage your preferences, visit the QTAC website
