*Not offered until Trimester 2, 2027* In this course, you will explore the foundations of mental health care across a range of health contexts. You will learn about mental health conditions, recovery-oriented care, therapeutic communication, stigma, trauma, and intimate partner violence. You will develop skills in assessment, Cultural Safety, early intervention, and collaborative practice. You will also examine legal and ethical responsibilities and reflect on your role in person-centered, trauma-informed mental health care.
