*Not offered until Trimester 1, 2028* This course builds foundational knowledge of how children and adolescents develop and learn, tracing brain development from early childhood to young adulthood. Drawing on educational psychology, developmental psychology, and neuroscience, you'll explore how young people build memory and cognitive skills, regulate attention and emotion, and engage with their social and physical environment. Applying these insights to real-world contexts, you'll begin thinking like a responsive educator by identifying student needs and creating safe, structured environments for healthy development and learning.
