*Not offered until Trimester 1, 2028* This course builds the theoretical and practical foundations of teaching, developing knowledge, skills, and professional identity for effective teaching and learning. Students engage with perspectives on education, including educational neuroscience, learning theory, curriculum, assessment, pedagogy, and whole-school behaviour management. Framed by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST), it examines quality teaching and reflective practice underpinning development. A ten-day placement (PEx) lets students observe, enact, and reflect on practice in an authentic setting.
