First offering Tri 1, 2028 This foundational course introduces you to study and work across the Creative Industries. Delivered across three four-week units, you will first explore career pathways, industry structures and professional opportunities across creative writing and publishing, theatre and performance, screen media, and music industries. You will develop career-management capabilities needed to navigate a sustainable creative career. You will then build academic writing skills and disciplinary conventions essential for creative industries scholarship, before developing research skills to analyse and reflect on creative works, practices and industry contexts using introductory theories and concepts. Together, these units provide the professional, academic and analytical foundations for further study across the Bachelor of Creative Industries.
