Project summary
The Quantum and Advanced Technologies Talent Building Program aims to support Research Candidates to undertake research in areas of quantum and advanced technologies to build the pipeline of early career researchers developing new technologies, and increase the representation of women and other under represented groups in quantum and advanced technologies areas.
Cross-disciplinary PhD collaboration incentive award
Four funding packages are available for UniSC Candidates for an allowance worth up to A$20,000 each to support or conduct research at an alternative location to their current research group. Examples of another location include a different faculty within the same university, another university, or organisation. Eligible expenses include living expenses, accommodation, travel, and related expenses. The costs must be incurred over the maximum of a six-month period which can include multiple trips to the alternative location, or online collaboration.

Ideal eligible candidates
- Must be enrolled in a PhD course at UniSC with both a Tuition offset scholarship and current stipend scholarship.
- The Candidate must have a research question that could benefit from collaboration with research or industry partners in quantum or advanced technologies.
- All Primary project Fields of Education can apply excluding the following areas:

- Compound semi-conductors
- Superconductors
- Photonics
- Micro-electromechanical systems.
