Socioeconomic impacts of forest carbon projects

Primary goals
  • Demonstrate best-practice establishment of socioeconomic baselines and monitoring for impacts of community-based reforestation for carbon projects.
Key outcomes
  1. Development of socio-economic instruments (e.g. household and key informant interviews on community capacity, fuelwood use, gender analysis) for setting baselines
  2. Analysis of community cohesiveness, demographics, livelihood interests, financial, physical and social capital, reforestation experience, and threats to forests within communities across Eastern Visayas, Philippines
