UniSC Pasifika Association (UniSCPA) is a student-led club, developed and organised by university students to support each other by creating a safe, diverse, inclusive group of like-minded people, friends and mentors.

We value collaborations with the wider community and welcome everyone from all walks of life to become members or  participate in our events.

Empowering Māori and Pasifika university students: Building community and strengthening cultural connection by learning or sharing knowledge to establish a sense of belonging.

The UniSC Pasifika Association (UniSCPA) is endorsed by the Australian Centre for Pacific Islands Research (ACPIR) to strengthen pathways for Maori and Pasifika university students towards careers in research and beyond.

The UniSC Pasifika Association vision

  • Engage, support and advocate for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Create academic and professional development opportunities for students through social, cultural, and academic events.
  • Deliver workshops that promote personal growth by developing and refining transferrable skills.
  • Host and promote academic and social events to strengthen the undergraduate and graduate community at UniSC.
  • Continue to build awareness for students and community members to undertake further study.

What we do

On Campus presence

We are currently working from the UniSC Moreton Bay campus at Petrie and would like to expand to other campus locations.

Volunteer opportunities

Any event, study session, seminar, workshop, symposium that we attend, organise and deliver needs volunteers. No experience or training required, just bring a smile and be on time.

Study sessions

Meet every week to study amongst like-minded people. Students from all disciplines are invited to sit and study. We will have the sounds playing and provide brain food (snacks). The rest is up to you.

Student voice

We want to hear from you, not add more work to your day. Let us know how we can help make your studies a better experience.

Social events
  • You can find us at the UniSC campus market days.
  • We buy tickets for members to attend UniSC student events.
  • In 2026, we will be hosting an end-of-year party for all members.
  • We are looking for keen volunteers to organise and lead a team at upcoming UniSC sporting events.
