Patrick Mueller

Patrick is a third-year Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) student at UniSC, currently serving as a Captain in the Australian Army through the Army Civil Schooling Program. He brings over eight years of experience in vehicle fleet maintenance, logistics, and operations leadership to his studies, having served in roles across Australia and on domestic deployments.

Patrick was elected to the University Council as one of two student members in 2026 and chairs the UniSC Student Senate. He is also a recipient of the Adam Reilly and Covey Engineering Prize, awarded to the highest achieving student in MEC200-Thermodynamics.

As a mature-age student, Patrick sought the Council role to bridge the gap between the student body and university governance bringing the lived experience of a current student alongside the communication and leadership skills developed over a career in the Army. He is committed to ensuring student voices are heard clearly at the Council table.

Patrick lives on the Sunshine Coast with his wife and two young sons.
