Dr Theresa Craig AM

Dr Theresa Craig AM (PhD, GAICD) is an agricultural scientist, business leader and experienced board director with over 30 years of domestic and international experience spanning research, industry, policy and governance. She holds a PhD in animal nutrition from the University of Missouri, with a minor in business, and is the founder and director of TARA – Technical Assistance and Research Analysis Pty Ltd, providing strategic consulting across agriculture, life sciences and medical research.

Dr Craig brings extensive governance experience, including roles as Director of the Page Research Centre and Vice Chair of the Queensland Schools Animal Ethics Committee. She has previously served as President of the Agribusiness Association of Australia and holds qualifications from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Her academic contributions include serving as an Adjunct Professor and Advisory Board member within the University of the Sunshine Coast ecosystem.

Her work is characterised by a strong focus on evidence-based decision-making, innovation, and regional engagement. Dr Craig was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2023 for significant service to agriculture and to the community.
