Terms and Conditions
UniSC International – Double Pass Giveaway (August)
By entering this competition, entrants agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), through UniSC International (“Promoter”).
2. Competition Period
The competition opens on Monday, 17 August 2026 and closes at 8.00 am AEST on Thursday, 20 August 2026 (“Competition Period”).
Entries received after the closing time will not be accepted.
3. Eligibility
To be eligible to enter, participants must:
- be a currently enrolled UniSC international student at the time of entry;
- have a valid Facebook or Instagram account, as applicable; and
- comply with these Terms and Conditions.
4. How to Enter
To receive one entry, eligible participants must, during the Competition Period:
- Follow @unisc.international on Instagram and/or Facebook; and
- Comment on the competition post and tag or name a friend they would like to take to the game.
Eligible participants may receive one additional bonus entry by sharing their study experience through the designated UniSC webform available via the link in the @unisc.international Instagram bio.
A maximum of two entries per eligible participant will be accepted: one standard entry and one bonus webform entry.
No purchase or payment is required to enter.
5. Prize
One winner will receive:
2 × General Admission tickets to the Dolphins NRL game at Suncorp Stadium on Friday, 21 August 2026.
The prize is subject to any ticketing, venue and event conditions imposed by the relevant event organiser or venue.
The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash, refunded or substituted for another product, service or alternative at the winner's request.
Any costs associated with attending the event that are not expressly included in the prize, including transport, parking, food and beverages, are the responsibility of the winner and their guest (individuals).
6. Winner Selection
The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries using a random selection generator following the close of the Competition Period.
The winner will be announced via the @unisc.international Instagram and/or Facebook Stories and contacted via direct message from the UniSC International account.
The Promoter may request reasonable information necessary to verify that the selected winner meets the eligibility requirements before awarding the prize.
If the selected winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within the timeframe communicated by the Promoter, is unable to attend the event, or is found to be ineligible, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct another random selection to determine a replacement winner.
7. Scam Awareness
UniSC will only contact the winner through an the UniSC International social media accounts (@unisc.international).
Entrants should be alert to impersonation or scam accounts. UniSC will not ask entrants to provide private information, passwords, banking details, credit card information or make a payment to claim the prize. Please do not provide any personal or financial information.
8. Privacy
Personal information provided as part of the competition (i.e. verification of entry requirements being met) will be handled in accordance with UniSC's applicable privacy policies and used for the purposes of administering the competition and, where applicable, the purpose disclosed through the study experience webform.
Entrants should not post sensitive personal information publicly when entering the competition.
9. General Conditions
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these Terms and Conditions or who interferes with the fair and proper conduct of the competition.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete, incorrectly submitted or otherwise not received due to technical or platform-related issues.
If the event is postponed, cancelled or otherwise affected by circumstances outside the Promoter's reasonable control, the Promoter will have no obligation to provide a cash alternative or replacement prize except where required by law.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Australian law.
10. Disclaimers
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram, Facebook or Meta.
By entering, each participant acknowledges that they are providing their information to the Promoter for the purpose of the giveaway and not to Instagram, Facebook or Meta in relation to the giveaway, and releases Instagram, Facebook and Meta from any responsibility associated with the promotion to the extent permitted by law.
Entrants must comply with the applicable terms and policies of Facebook and Instagram when participating in the competition.
11. Third Party Information
Unless otherwise expressly stated by UniSC, this competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, the Dolphins, National Rugby League (NRL) or Suncorp Stadium. Any third-party names, trademarks or event references are used solely to identify the prize and relevant event, as applicable.
