Join Collider and Nucleate Australia for "Inside Queensland’s Biotech Ecosystem" on Thursday, 19 March 2026.

This event marks Nucleate Australia’s first Queensland activation and forms part of Collider’s event series focused on strengthening collaboration between academia and industry. Nucleate is a global, student-led organisation dedicated to empowering the next generation of biotech leaders.

The evening will bring together industry leaders, researchers and biotech innovators to explore:

  • Queensland’s biotechnology strengths and emerging capabilities
  • Pathways for research translation and commercialisation
  • Early-stage venture development and investment readiness
  • Industry–academia collaboration to accelerate impact

Attendees will hear from leading Queensland industry and academic experts, including:

  • Dr Joanne Macdonald – CTO, BioCifer Pty Ltd and Associate Professor, Molecular Engineering, UniSC
  • Dr Nicola Angel – Head of Laboratory Operations (Global) / Laboratory Director, Microba
  • Dr Flavia Huygens – Executive Director, Founder and Chief Scientific Officer, Microbio
