Towards Ecosophical Neighbourhoods

How do you feel about the future? What stops you from having the fun and healthy lifestyle you would like to have? Without a doubt, we are living in a time of many interconnected challenges - from housing affordability to the very health of our planet and our own within it.

To answer these challenges, we invite you to join us in exploring how our neighbourhoods can support people and Nature to thrive together. We are naming the re-imaging of locally-based living spaces Ecosophical Neighbourhoods: communities and neighbourhoods designed for balance, connection, and regeneration.

This symposium aims to facilitate reflection on existing - and emergence of new - frameworks and community designs through the lens of ecological wisdom and regenerative societal relationships.

Over five days we'll bring together community leaders, ecovillages, local governments, changemakers and academics to share insights and co-create solutions.

Big ideas

Discover the latest thinking from diverse fields - architecture, planning, law, economics, agroforestry, social science and others. Together, we'll explore what it means to live well with our planet.

From vision to action

Hear directly from local Councils, practitioners, and industry voices. Learn what's already being tried, what's working, and where the challenges lie.

Co-creating neighbourhoods

Join hands-on workshops to design real-life ecosophical neighbourhoods.

An opportunity to connect and collaborate

The entire event is being led by Indigenous voices, and is articulated around the Aboriginal notion of 'Country', what Blaze Kwaymullina calls the total sum of 'Land, Earth, Sky, Universe and all the relationships of the world moving and interacting with one another'.

This isn't just another symposium. It's a collaborative space to listen, share, and imagine a new way of living together. We warmly invite you to join us for the full five days - to connect, contribute, and be part of shaping communities where both people and Nature flourish.
