Outstanding Alumni Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Outstanding Alumni of the Year Awards 

Each year the Outstanding Alumni Awards program honours, acknowledges and celebrates our graduates who have achieved significantly in their field of expertise since officially graduating from their first degree at UniSC at least two years prior (ie 2024 Graduation ceremony or earlier). 

Award categories: 
Outstanding Alumnus of the Year 

This is the highest alumni award for sustained and outstanding leadership, success and contribution in the nominee’s field of expertise. 


Alumnus of the Year, International 

This award is for a nominee who was enrolled at UniSC as an international student and who is a leader or an emerging leader in their field of expertise. 


Alumnus of the Year, Local Impact 

This award is for a nominee whose contribution and impact are primarily located within UniSC’s campus footprint and/or the nominee’s local community. 


Alumnus of the Year, First Nations 

This award is for a nominee who has established Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status and who is a leader or an emerging leader in their field of expertise and/or delivering impact in their community. 


Alumnus of the Year, Rising Star 

This award is for a nominee who is 35 years or younger on the due date of the nomination and who is an emerging leader in their field of expertise. 


Selection criteria:   

All eligible applications will be assessed on the extent to which they meet the following criteria and which award category they are most suited to:   

Impact 

Evidence and scale of the impact the nominee has had in their field of expertise, profession or community.  


Contribution 

Evidence the nominee is committed to bettering the lives of others through their professional or volunteer efforts. 


Leadership 

Evidence of leadership qualities that could include volunteering, community or professional work.  


Success 

Evidence through peer recognition and/or professional standing that the nominee has achieved a high level of success in their field of expertise.

Make a nomination

Before submitting a nomination, it is a requirement to read the Nomination guidelines.  

We also recommend reviewing past recipients for the level of achievement and kind of impact previously awarded.   

To submit a nomination, review and complete the online Nomination Form with the relevant documentation.  

Nominations close Monday 20 July 2026.

The Awards presentation will be held at UniSC Sunshine Coast in November 2026.
