Omega-3 and Vascular Health Research Studies

Could omega-3 levels influence vascular health?

We are investigating the relationship between omega-3 levels in the blood and heart and blood vessel health.

Which study is right for you?

  1. If you have ever had coronary artery disease (CAD – blockages in the blood vessels of your heart)
Join the 12-week OMEGA-FIT study, investigating whether a personalised dose of a fish oil supplement can improve vascular health and reduce inflammation.
  2. If you are aged 40 years or over and free from heart disease
Join the Omega-3 Index and Vascular Function study, investigating the relationship between omega-3 levels in the blood (Omega-3 Index) and vascular health in a single visit.

What will participants receive?

  • Support with parking costs
  • A summary report of your dietary intake and vascular health
  • Advice for a healthy diet and feedback on your omega-3 levels

Study visits will take place at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs Campus.
