To keep our IT systems secure and performing at their best, UniSC's IT team conducts regular planned maintenance and upgrades throughout the year. Occasionally, this means that systems will be unavailable.
We encourage you to check this page regularly for information about upcoming maintenance activities and service interruptions.
Upcoming service disruptions
Data centre upgrade: 10-13 July and 24-26 July
As part of an important upgrade to UniSC's data centres, access to some systems and services (including Sonia, USC Central, USC Staff and Mediasite lecture recordings) will be impacted from Friday 10 to Monday 13 July, and Friday 24 to Sunday 26 July.
Some systems will be completely unavailable during these windows. Others will remain available but may experience brief interruptions or reduced performance.
For information on which systems will be impacted and when, visit MyUniSC (staff) or IT outages and maintenance in the Student Portal (students).
Future maintenance windows
The IT team will complete planned upgrades and fixes to our systems in the following windows. You should assume that no UniSC systems will be available during these times.
- Every Tuesday and Friday from 4–8am
- Friday 21 August from 5pm to Monday 24 August at 8am
- Friday 9 October from 5pm to Monday 12 October at 8am
- Friday 11 December from 5pm to Monday 14 December at 8am
