Supplier Code of Conduct

At the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), we are committed to creating a better tomorrow through our values of integrity, community and sustainability.

As a regionally anchored public university, UniSC has a responsibility to contribute positively to our students, staff, partners and the broader community. We embed responsible, ethical and sustainable practice across our operations and supply chains and support the principles of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

UniSC seeks to work with suppliers who share our vision for a safe, sustainable and inclusive future, including ethical conduct, environmental stewardship, respect for First Nations peoples, local economic participation, and diversity and inclusion. We expect these principles to be upheld within suppliers’ own operations and across their supply chains.

To support clear and consistent expectations, UniSC requires suppliers to comply with the Queensland Government Supplier Code of Conduct, as updated from time to time, which sets out detailed requirements relating to ethical behaviour, environmental sustainability, labour standards, human rights and social responsibility.

Together, through responsible procurement and genuine partnership, we can create a better tomorrow.

Supplier Code of Conduct requirements

The University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) gives effect to its Supplier Code of Conduct through the Queensland Government Supplier Code of Conduct.

All suppliers engaged by UniSC are required to comply with the Queensland Government Supplier Code of Conduct as updated from time to time, which sets out the minimum standards and behavioural expectations for suppliers, including requirements relating to:

  • ethical conduct, integrity and probity
  • conflicts of interest and information handling
  • fair competition and market behaviour
  • workplace health and safety and fair labour practices
  • human rights, modern slavery and child safety
  • environmental sustainability
  • subcontractor payment practices

Compliance with the Queensland Government Supplier Code of Conduct is a condition of doing business with UniSC and is reflected in UniSC procurement processes, contract terms and conditions, and ongoing supplier management and assurance activities.

Where required, suppliers must also cooperate with any UniSC or Queensland Government assurance, review or compliance activities relating to supplier conduct.
