Jeanne Niskiewicz

Jeanne Niskiewicz is an Associate Clinical Educator in Nursing at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), Caboolture campus. She brings over a decade of international experience across oncology, haematology, and clinical education, with a professional background spanning Canada and Australia. Her practice is grounded in patient‑centred care, interprofessional collaboration, and advancing evidence‑informed teaching in nursing.

Jeanne’s academic and clinical interests centre on improving learner engagement and knowledge retention through innovative educational design. Her emerging research program explores the use of interprofessional simulation, gamified learning, and technology‑enhanced teaching tools to strengthen clinical reasoning, teamwork, and learner confidence in complex care environments. She is particularly interested in how immersive and playful pedagogies can support diverse learners and enhance readiness for practice in high‑acuity settings.

Before joining UniSC, Jeanne held roles in haematology practice nursing, oncology education, and undergraduate nursing teaching at Box Hill Institute and RMIT University. She has extensive experience coordinating advanced therapies such as CAR‑T cell treatment, mentoring students and early‑career nurses, and contributing to national and international professional groups including the Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand (HSANZ) and the Australasian CAR‑T Nursing Group.

Jeanne welcomes opportunities to collaborate on projects related to cancer care, amyloidosis, simulation‑based education, curriculum innovation, interprofessional learning, and digital pedagogies in health. She is also open to supervising or co‑supervising Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students whose interests align with cancer research, educational innovation, clinical teaching, or workforce development in nursing and allied health.
