Dr Ellie Falatoonitoosi is a Lecturer in Project Management at the University of the Sunshine Coast, teaching across business, ICT, and engineering programs. She holds a PhD in Business and postgraduate qualifications in Industrial Engineering, with a strong background in systems analysis, operations management, and project delivery.
Ellie has extensive experience coordinating and delivering project management and digital business courses aligned with contemporary industry standards, including traditional, agile, and hybrid methodologies. Her teaching emphasises practical application, digital project management tools, and preparing students for real-world project environments.
Her academic and professional interests include project governance, digital transformation, smart operations, and the integration of emerging technologies such as AI, analytics, and digital twins into project delivery and business practice. Ellie is particularly passionate about bridging theory and practice and designing engaging, industry-aligned learning experiences that equip students with job-ready skills.
She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
