Dr Anne Ng | UniSC | University of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia

Dr Anne Ng is a Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering with more than 25 years of experience teaching at several universities in Australia, including Swinburne University of Technology, Victoria University, and Charles Darwin University. Over her long career, she has developed a deep understanding of how students learn best. She works closely with industry partners to make sure her students gain practical, real-world skills.

Her strong connection to industry is backed by major awards. In 2025, she won the Industry Engagement Excellence Award. She was also awarded three prestigious National Industry PhD (NiPhD) program grants by the Department of Education between 2024 and 2025. Earlier in her career, her outstanding work also earned her the Vice Chancellor’s Peak Award for Excellence and the Vice Chancellor’s Citation for Excellence Award.

Dr Ng’s main focus areas are sustainable construction and water resources management, which aim to make a real difference in society. Her current projects include exploring eco-friendly green concrete and cooling of precast concrete. Through her work, she creates real-world engineering solutions to protect communities against climate changes.
