Cassandra is a Lecturer in the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (Pathology) program and brings to this program more than twenty-five years' experience as a multi-disciplinary medical laboratory scientist in both private and public pathology laboratories in Queensland and New South Wales. She has extensive hands-on industry experience in haematology, immunohaematology, biochemistry and microbiology, and she has advanced skills and experience in Histopathology.
Cassandra has worked with UniSC Clinical Trials in laboratories on the Sunshine Coast and held an industry role as an Applications Specialist, where she provided technical support and training in laboratory instrumentation and diagnostic technologies.
She aims to create an engaging environment where curiosity and critical thinking are encouraged and is passionate about helping students develop confidence in the laboratory, connect theory with practice, and prepare for meaningful careers in medical laboratory science.
