Lisa Bidgood is a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy – Clinical Education.
Lisa is an experienced clinical Occupational Therapist; she has worked across Sydney and SEQld in both the public and private sectors of health. Her clinical experience has primarily included neurological rehabilitation for children and adults in the community, outpatient and inpatient settings. Through this experience, Lisa has developed a broad range of advanced generalist and specialist skills, as well as a passion for supporting Occupational Therapists to develop their clinical skills sets, and for service development to improve the quality of care for their clients. Lisa has a special interest in functional movement, soft tissue / myofascial treatment, trauma, and chronic pain.
Lisa completed a Master of Philosophy, researching the benefits of yoga for people with a Spinal Cord Injury. She is a co-convenor for the OT Australia Special Interest Group for “Yoga, Mindfulness and Body-Based Practices”.
She is enthusiastic to use her years of clinical experience to enhance student learning and foster the connection theory and clinical practice.
