Judy’s teaching experience spans 30 years including over 17 years of teaching at a tertiary level in Australia and Scotland. She is committed to enhancing the skills of others and believes in creating inclusive opportunities for people to learn in their mode of preference. Passionate about teaching data management and cybersecurity, Judy uses AI tools to support authentic learning experiences.

With a PhD in human factors Judy’s research focuses on human-computer interaction in sociotechnical systems. Judy has used mixed method approaches across a diverse range of industries including primary food, health and education; topics include identity compromise and smart home technologies for ageing-in-place.

Judy’s specialist areas of knowledge include the management of data, databases and cybersecurity. She considers that these subject areas are deeply intertwined and dependent on human capabilities, limitations and behaviours.
