Madeline Lee is an Associate Lecturer in Criminology within the School of Law and Society and is currently completing her PhD with the Sexual Violence Research and Prevention Unit (SVRPU). Her research examines the situational dynamics of sexual violence perpetrated against older adults, with the aim of advancing understanding of how these offences occur, and how they can be prevented. Drawing on environmental criminology perspectives, her work focuses on the opportunity structures and contextual factors that facilitate this form of abuse, bridging critical knowledge gaps around how these crimes unfold, and thus informing proactive, evidence-based approaches to policy and prevention.
