Her experience spans complex parenting, property and relationship matters, where she is highly regarded for her compassionate and practical approach to helping families navigate life's most challenging circumstances.

Jessica's appointment follows several significant professional achievements.

In 2022, she was named Queensland Emergent Woman Lawyer of the Year and has been acknowledged in Doyle's Guide as a Family Law Rising Star from 2021 to 2025.

In 2026, she was recognised as a Recommended Family Lawyer – Sunshine Coast, and in 2025 was awarded the University of the Sunshine Coast Alumnus of the Year – Rising Star.

Founder and Director, Pippa Colman, said Jessica's new role follows her outstanding contribution to the firm and its commitment to building a strong leadership team for the future.

“As our firm continues to grow, I couldn't think of anyone more deserving of joining our leadership team,” Pippa said.

“Jessica's appointment reflects the strength of our people and our commitment to continuing to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients and community.”

"It is an incredible privilege to become a director of a firm that has played such an important role in my professional journey.

“Since joining Pippa Colman Family Law, I have had the opportunity to work alongside an exceptional team that is genuinely committed to supporting clients with empathy, integrity and excellence.

“I look forward to continuing to build on the firm's strong reputation, mentoring the next generation of family lawyers and helping guide the firm's continued growth, while remaining focused on achieving the very best outcomes for our clients.”

Beyond her legal practice, Jessica is deeply committed to giving back to the community.

She has served as President of the Sunshine Coast Law Association, been a board member of Suncoast Community Legal Service, Sunshine Coast Sports and Mingary Care (formerly Sunshine Hospice) and is Secretary of the Hinterland Blues AFL Club.

Jessica joins Founder and Director Pippa Colman and Directors Sarah Quilliam and Samantha Bolton as part of the firm's leadership team.

Together, the four Directors bring extensive experience across all areas of family law and will continue leading Pippa Colman Family Law as it builds on its recent expansion into North Queensland while remaining committed to providing compassionate, strategic and client-focused legal advice.
