The University of the Sunshine Coast has support available for students and staff affected by the devastating mudslides and flash flooding on the Nepal-China border.

There are a significant number of international students at UniSC with ties to the region, including many studying nursing.

Staff members also share strong connections with the countries in the crisis zone.

The wellbeing of our students and staff is a top priority.

Students are able to seek assistance from UniSC’s Student Wellbeing team that provides free and confidential support across our campuses and online.

Students can make an initial 20-minute phone appointment via the student portal.

UniSC also has a free, confidential support service available for staff and their immediate family members via the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

The EAP is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Staff can contact EAP on 1300 687 327. Appointments can also be booked online.
